Michael Lamper was born in 1958 in Los Angeles, California, USA – he is a musician and guitarist, but perhaps most popular as the husband of actress Marina Sirtis.

Education and pre-school education

Michael grew up with his parents in Los Angeles, and he has no siblings. He fell in love with music at the age of six and started playing guitar at the age of seven when his parents paid for his guitar lessons. He graduated from a local high school in Los Angeles and then turned to guitar in a local band before starting his acting career.

Musician career

Michael began touring in the U.S. shortly after graduating from high school – he played with some of the most popular musicians of the late 70s and 80s, including Los Lobos, Kevin Cronin and the Allman Brothers. She got her pioneering role in Star Trek: The next generation offered the role of American writer and producer Gene Roddenberry in 1986, at a time when they were actually packing their bags to return to Britain when their American visas expired. She played the role of Diana Troy, a ship’s advisor who is half Betazoid and half human – because she is half Betazoid, she lets Diana read human emotions.

During the seven squadrons she was part of the chief of staff, her character became a Starfleet officer and she was allowed to go on missions with crews, carry weapons and be the ship’s chief of staff. Marina again played the role of Deanna Troy in Star Trek in 1994, the first contact in Star Trek in 1996 and the Star Trek Uprising in 1998 – she also played in three Star Trek episodes: The Voyager series and the latest episode of Star Trek: The company’s television series from 2005.

While filming Star Trek: The next generation, Marina, also appeared in other films and series, such as Last Chance, shot in 1990, and Fifth Corner 1992 – the same year she had a small role in Wax Work II : A Lost in Time horror movie.
