Rachel spent her childhood in California, where she was raised by her mother, Beryl Bainbridge. Beryl Bainbridge was a housewife but also a writer and was best known for her novel Sweet William, published in 1975. His father, Alan Sharpe, was a Scottish writer and is best known for the screenplay he wrote for the Year of Dangerous Life in 1983 – Alan published two novels and wrote 20 screenplays before he died on September 8th. She began her acting career in 1987, when she posed as Emily in the fantastic comedy film Teen Wolf with popular actor Jason Bateman. The story follows Todd Howard (Jason Bateman), who is a difficult teenager, and how it will turn out for him when he turns into a wolf. The film received very negative reviews and the IMDb website gave it a rating of 3.3/10.
